Phil Lynah has been singing God's praises for over 50 years, and his dedication to the craft is evident in each song he writes and performs. He is a multi-talented musician, having traversed various genres ranging from gospel quartet and classical to acapella, contemporary, and secular music. He has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Luther Barnes, The Canton Spirituals, The Williams Brothers, Byron Cage, and Richard Smallwood. Phil's most recent solo release “All I Need Is You” has been widely acclaimed. During the course of his career, Phil has garnered multiple awards and nominations for the gospel groups he has performed with: The Gospel Angels of Washington DC; The Legendary Jackson Singers of Washington DC; Prophecy – Cops for Christ; J-Le Samp Singers of Washington DC; and even co-starring in the acclaimed gospel music stage play An American Song. Phil is a distinguished retired US Army officer who has served in multiple overseas locations such as Germany, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, and Bosnia. With an impressive educational background of a Mathematics degree from Claflin University and an MBA (dual concentrations) in Finance and Management from Howard University, Phil is also the Executive VP of the Gospel Industry Network (GIN) – DC Affiliate, Board member of the Peachtree Enterprises and a proud member Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for over 45 years. Currently employed by the Department of Health and Human Services as the Chief of Logistics Management and Policy, Phil has devoted his life to service for over three decades. His hard work and dedication to duty have earned him immense respect by all who know him.
